As a financial associate and advisor-in-training, Cooper assists the advisors and operations team with several different account service tasks. Cooper’s primary job duties include completing withdrawals, trade requests, RMD and tax withholding calculations, bank updates, address changes, and relaying client messages.
After serving as a summer intern, Cooper appreciated the opportunity to join Modern Wealth full-time as a financial associate in August 2025. Cooper enjoys working for a firm that provides the mentorship, resources, and support he needs as he works toward becoming a financial advisor, while also working in the best interest of our clients.
Cooper is passionate about continuous growth and is committed to building long-term relationships with colleagues and clients as he grows in his career. He’s also continuing his education and is expected to earn his Master of Science in management and organizational behavior in June 2026 from Benedictine University.
Cooper has two brothers and is a middle child. He enjoys playing with his dog, Sparky, and playing baseball with his dad and brothers. Cooper also played football for four years at Benedictine. He continues to enjoy working out, spending time in prayer and chasing improvement in all areas of his life, both personally and professionally. A fun fact about Cooper is that he is also a car enthusiast.

Experience: Finance and Client Services since 2022
As a financial assistant based in our Troy, Michigan office, Brandt assists with answering phone calls, scheduling client reviews and estate plan meetings, internal office work, and helping the service team. Brandt likes how the Modern Wealth team functions as a cooperative group that works together toward one goal, which is prioritizing proper financial assistance and client satisfaction.
Brandt has learned a lot about building a career in finance and accounting from his older brother, Kade, who is a lead advisor at Modern Wealth. Prior to working at Modern Wealth, Brandt worked in party rental services as a laborer. He prepared payroll and accounting transactions.
The most important thing in Brandt’s life will always be my family. His favorite thing to do with his family is boating in the summer at Lake St. Helen. Brandt’s favorite hobbies consist of golfing, weightlifting, and spending time with friends, family, and his dogs, Raina and Kodiak. A fun fact about Brandt is that he’s very knowledgeable in NBA history and statistics. He loves to research specific details regarding player/team stats and the history of the league over the years.

Danielle keeps everyone happy and tries to make the advisors’ lives easier. She preps and processes paperwork, helps clients get logged into our software, coordinates estate planning meetings with our attorneys and advisors, and other behind-the-scenes tasks to ensure efficiency with the client experience.
Danielle started working at Modern Wealth Management right after college. She enjoys getting to work with her dad, Ken Osiwala; husband, Kade Messner; and the rest of the Modern Wealth team while serving our clients.
Being on the boat all day in the Florida Keys or on the Saint Clair River is Danielle’s favorite thing to do with her family. She loves surfing, being active outside, baking, and decorating sugar cookies.

Education: B.B.A. from Grand Valley State University
Pete enjoys building meaningful relationships with clients and helping them navigate complex financial decisions to help them toward their financial and personal goals. He has a genuine interest in learning clients’ life stories and experiences, which helps him provide thoughtful, personalized guidance.
Outside of work, Pete and his wife, Amy, are proud parents to their son, Cass. Their family also includes two dogs, Otis and Reggie. Pete enjoys golfing in the summer, plays hockey year-round, and is an avid fan of the Detroit Red Wings and Detroit Lions. He and Amy love to travel and have a goal of visiting all 50 states together. In their free time, Pete and his family enjoy relaxing at their family’s cottage on Lake Ogemaw in West Branch, Michigan.

Jennifer Kucemba joined our team in 2019 as our Director of First Impressions for our Troy office. She is the friendly person (and voice) that will most likely greet you when you enter or call our Troy office. Jennifer enjoys spending time on the phone with each client. Getting to know their lifestyle and hear their stories is such a treat for her. Adding her own touches to the conversation and building relationships makes her day!
Jennifer is married with two daughters and one (furry) son! When not at work, she loves spending time at home with her family, tending to her flowers, and making her house a home. She is also very busy providing dancing, singing, and acting lessons for her two girls who shine on the musical theater stage!

With over 20 years in the legal and financial industries, Karen brings an unprecedented wealth of knowledge and experience to our team. She is overseer of the firm’s operations which include: trading in client accounts, managing staff, and assisting in legal and compliance matters. Karen has previously passed her Series 6, 7, 63 securities exams and her exams for Life insurance products and is also a Michigan Notary Public.
Karen was born and raised in the Metro Detroit area. She is married and has one daughter. Her interests include spending time with family, scrapbooking and shopping.

Kyle is committed to ensuring that his clients are holistically cared for and thriving. He feels blessed and fortunate to work with great people and team members.
Kyle lives in the country and is happily married with four children. One of his favorite activities is helping his kids raise pigs, chickens, and turkeys. God, family, and clients are the three most important things in his life. He enjoys an active lifestyle that includes hunting, fishing, golfing, and coaching his children’s sports teams.
When it comes to giving to charitable causes, Kyle is a proud supporter of his church, three different missionaries, and Oakland Family Services.

Kade is passionate about Modern Wealth’s unique take on comprehensive retirement planning. He loves the work we do for our clients and helping them toward their financial goals.
Along with leading clients, Kade teaches and leads a 200+ person young adult church ministry on Thursday nights where he loves to pour into 18–30-year-olds and help guide them through their faith and lives.
Kade lives a very active lifestyle, loves the outdoors, and enjoys anything that can broaden or deeper his knowledge in all things financial planning.

With more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, Ken has extensive experience in providing strategies to retirees and pre-retirees to help protect and preserve their principal.
Ken and his wife, Beth, have been married for over 30 years. They have three children and one granddaughter.
He enjoys spending time with his family, boating, fishing, kite boarding, and is actively involved in his church.
