Wyatt Updegraff

Experience: Finance since 2023 

Education: Bachelor of Science in business administration with a minor in marketing from California State University, Chico 

Since joining the Modern Wealth team in November 2025, Wyatt has assisted advisors and clients with account maintenance, money movement, financial planning items, and client onboarding. He works closely with custodians to ensure correct processing in accordance with client needs. 

Modern Wealth’s comprehensive approach to wealth management was something that stood out to Wyatt prior to joining the team. He took note of how each of Modern Wealth’s departments works together to support the firm’s clients. Wyatt appreciates Modern Wealth’s caring and upbeat company culture and how his colleagues treat each other and clients the same as they treat close family members. 

Wyatt began his career in the financial industry with Charles Schwab in 2023, serving the needs of Registered Independent Advisory firms and their clients’ needs. Many of Wyatt’s job duties at Charles Schwab helped to prepare him for his role as a relationship manager at Modern Wealth. Prior to entering the financial industry, Wyatt helped individuals and families with mortgage loans to purchase homes. 

Wyatt loves spending time outdoors with his family, especially hiking and biking. He also enjoys surfing, reading, and playing guitar.  His favorite songwriters are Bob Dylan, Neil Young, and Billy Strings. A couple of fun facts about Wyatt is that he had four parakeets as pets with his old roommates, as well as a 75-gallon fish tank full of fish!
