Vanessa Byrd

Based out of Modern Wealth’s Campbell, California office, Vanessa support clients with account servicing, money movement, and overall account maintenance. She has also assisted advisors with preparing for meetings, handled follow-ups, and made sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes since joining the team in April 2026. A big part of Vanessa’s role is making sure clients feel taken care of and that nothing slips through the cracks operationally.

Vanessa was drawn to Modern Wealth’s collaborative environment and the opportunity to continue growing within a firm that values both strong client relationships and operational excellence. She takes a lot of pride in being dependable and detail oriented and is always looking for ways to grow and bring value to both her team and the clients she supports. Vanessa loves the team dynamic and the direction Modern Wealth is heading.

Vanessa has worked in the financial services space since 2017, building experience across banking, mortgage, and wealth management. She started banking as a teller and worked her way up to personal banking, which gave her a strong foundation in client relationships and financial services. From there, she moved into mortgage loan coordinating and marketing, handling billing and financial operations for multiple apartment communities in Michigan. After that, Vanessa transitioned fully into the mortgage industry as an underwriter before moving into wealth management and client services.

Vanessa is very family-oriented and really values quality time with the people closest to her. She enjoys things like spending time together, cooking, traveling, and just being present. Some of Vanessa’s other interests include working out and staying active (especially strength training), gardening, exploring creative outlets, and cooking. She loves trying new recipes!
