Since joining the Modern Wealth team in September 2025, Sonja’s focus has been on building and launching trainings for the organization, improving internal communication, and building a common company culture. She is always looking for something new to learn and has enjoyed learning about how the Modern Wealth team works together to support its clients.
Sonja has been in some form of learning role throughout her career, except for a three-year stint as a leader in a call center. Her corporate career started at Nationwide Insurance, where she spent over 15 years in the P&C space. Sonja then transitioned into transportation and logistics. The last five years helped prepare Sonja to build a learning function at Modern Wealth and support the company through exponential growth.
Sonja and her husband, Martin, enjoy spending time with their two amazing dogs, Clark and Ted, and traveling with their children. Sonja has a son and daughter-in-law as well as a stepdaughter and son-in-law. She also loves reading, collecting vinyl albums, and watching college football.
