Can you briefly outline your career prior to arriving at Modern Wealth Management?
I was Ken Osiwala’s first intern during my sophomore year of college (summer 2013). I then joined the team after graduating in 2015.
What are your job duties?
As a lead advisor, it’s my goal to enhance ongoing client relationships and develop new relationships with prospective clients via financial planning.
What is your favorite thing about working at Modern Wealth?
Interacting with clients, helping them solve complex issues to meet their financial (and non-financial) goals, and hearing their life stories and experiences.
Tell us about yourself and your family.
I’ve been married to my wife, Amy, for five wonderful years. We were both born and raised in Sterling Heights, Michigan. We went to the same high school, but didn’t meet until college through mutual friends. We enjoy traveling and our goal is to visit all 50 states together. We also enjoy spending time at my family’s cottage on Lake Ogemaw in West Branch, Michigan. We’re foodies and enjoy trying new restaurants and cuisine. We have a 5-year-old dog named Otis. He is a lab-mix, LOVES the water and playing fetch, and won’t waste an opportunity to give you a kiss.
What’s the most important thing in your life?
Faith, family, and friends (…and sports – hockey and football).
What are some of your favorite hobbies?
Spending time with Amy, our family, and friends. Traveling. Watching and playing sports.
Do you have charitable causes you support? If so, what are they?
Our local church, Oakland Family Services, and Michigan Animal Rescue League.
Are there any fun facts or interesting details about yourself that you think may help you stand out or better relate your ideal client?
I played semi-professional box lacrosse (Box Lacrosse League) during college. I was born without a sense of smell, so many people got an understanding of my daily life if they lost their sense of smell through COVID. Not sure how that’ll help with a client, but I think it’s interesting.
