Nicholas analyzes current and projected tax brackets to help evaluate appropriate Roth conversion amounts. He also prepares and reviews individual income tax returns (Form 1040 and related schedules) and adheres to IRS regulations, ethical standards, and due diligence requirements. Nicholas really enjoys his role, as it allows him to assist clients with their tax planning and tax preparation needs, all while making him feel like a tax wizard and financial chess player.
When Nicholas arrived at Modern Wealth in November 2025, he brought 10 years of outsourced CFO and accounting experience to the firm, including six years of taxation experience. The skillset Nicholas has built throughout his career in accounting includes general bookkeeping, payroll management, sales tax nexus administration, quarterly compliance work, tax return preparation, client advising, business creation, and creating exit strategies for owners of companies.
Nicholas maintains an active lifestyle outside of work. When the weather is nice, he enjoys longboarding around town, running, walking, and going to the water. Nicholas is also passionate about woodworking, in-home projects, and working with any form of technology. He likes creating 3D prints, playing video games, and fixing broken technology.
A few fun facts about Nicholas are that he is a voice actor, an Esports commentator, and announcer, used to play games professionally, goes to at least one concert or comedy show every month, and was a Class A Chess player through college with a rating of 1850.
