Neelie joined the team in March 2026 when Legacy Wealth Management became Modern Wealth Management. She believes that becoming financially independent is the only way to experience a true sense of freedom. While many people think that financial independence is achieved via number crunching and managing investments, Neelie realized that life has a way of throwing us curveballs, and that ongoing, personalized financial planning is essential to help us achieve our life goals.
Neelie views financial planning from a comprehensive lens and focuses on tailoring her financial plans to each client’s specific goals and situation. She strives to help her clients envision what financial freedom means to them, and to make informed decisions in order to get there. Her biggest goal is to help her clients gain confidence in their financial future. This process involves setting goals, creating a plan to work toward reaching those goals, implementing the plan, and then meeting on an ongoing basis in order to allow for life changes that may occur along the way.
Neelie started her career as a financial advisor with another company in 2005 but quickly noticed that the company’s focus was centered around selling proprietary products. She came to LPL and LWM Advisory Services in 2010 and hasn’t looked back. Neelie appreciates working with colleagues who have the same desire to put their clients’ interests ahead of their own.
In addition, Neelie joined the LWM Investment Committee in 2017. Her main goal was to provide updated portfolio analysis and research and analytical data from Morningstar research to help the committee make informed decisions. She also was responsible for being LWM’s portfolio trader, as she regularly updated and rebalanced the firm’s model portfolios.
Neelie was born in St. Petersburg, Florida, but has lived in several cities in the Eastern United States. She returned to South Florida in 2004 after spending the previous eight years in the North Carolina mountains. Neelie is married with four sons and six grandchildren. Her family also has three rescue cats. Neelie’s love and compassion for animals led her to commit to a vegan lifestyle for more than 13 years. Some of Neelie’s other interests include traveling, kickboxing, Krav Maga, dancing, painting, drawing, cooking, reading, and spending time with her family.
