Marissa supports the Modern Wealth tax team with a variety of administrative and client-focused tasks. She arrived at Modern Wealth in January 2026 after previously serving as a tax administrative assistant for nearly three years at Creative Planning.
Marissa made a career in 2023 from being an educator to tax administrator. During her career in education, Marissa served as a special education paraprofessional in the Raymore-Peculiar school district and as a fourth grade teacher in the Ballard R-II school district.
Marissa loves to work out, read, watch sports, play video games, and spend time with family. Marissa enjoys exploring new places to eat and shopping with her mother. While Marissa is an only child, she has two aunts who are more like sisters to her. Her aunts also each have two children that Marissa loves to spend time with.
A couple of fun facts about Marissa are that she can bench press 135 pounds and that she drinks Diet Coke like it’s water.
