As the VP of First Impressions, Luz is responsible for answering the phone, managing office supplies, and being the first point of contact for visitors in the Calabasas, California office. Anything related to keeping the office running smoothly and efficiently, Luz is there to assist the team.
Luz joined the team in April 2025 when Planned Asset Management became Modern Wealth. Luz honed her administrative assistant skills during the 16 years she spent in the real estate industry. She has also worked in sales, retail, and mental health services.
Luz was born in Miami, Florida, but her family is from Colombia, South America. She lived in Miami for about 11 years before moving to Colombia for six years. After that, she moved back to the U.S. and spent a year in New York City, followed by six months in Sweden. Eventually, she settled in California, where she’s been ever since.
Outside of work, Luz spends time practicing her favorite hobby, archery. She also enjoys spending time with her pets and traveling with her family.
Luz has a deep love for learning and meaningful conversations. Some of Luz’s other interests include sports (hockey, football, and racing), video games, anime, alternative rock music, and trying new foods from different cultures.
