Kim joined the team in May 2026 when Flaharty Asset Management became Modern Wealth Management. Her primary responsibilities are overseeing daily office operations, executing a wide range of administrative functions, and providing client experience support. Kim works closely with other internal team members to create new procedures and systems and streamline existing ones to provide efficient and personalized service to both clients and team members.
Prior to serving as COO of her family for more than 25 years, Kim worked in logistics as the Assistant Logistics Manager for North and South America for NACCO. Upon re-entering the workforce after raising her family, she worked in the non-profit space before joining Flaharty Asset Management in 2024.
A native North Carolinian, Kim and her husband moved to his hometown of Clearwater, Florida, shortly after marrying and raised their sons there. Kim enjoys traveling with her family, reading, listening to live music, and needlepointing. Kim also proudly supports The Arc Tampa Bay, which serves people with intellectual and developmental differences. Equally important to her is Hope Villages of America, an organization that provides relief from food insecurity, homelessness, shelter from domestic violence and addresses the basic needs of those in the community.
