Jeff Loos, ChFC®, CLU®, RICP®
Lead Advisor
Department: Advisors
Experience: Wealth Management since 1989
Education: B.S. Finance from the University of Tennessee
Jeff enjoys helping clients with their life and retirement planning, tax management, and portfolio management. He joined the Modern Wealth team in June 2024 following the acquisition of C&J Wealth Advisors in Knoxville, Tennessee. Jeff brought 35 years of experience in the wealth management industry when he came onboard at Modern Wealth. He started his career as an agent and registered rep with Mass Mutual Financial Services. Jeff then moved to First Tennessee Bank (now First Horizon Wealth Management) in 1998 before starting his own practice in 2007. Jeff went on to join the C&J Wealth Advisors team in 2010.
Jeff excels with real life scenarios and planning. He has been on both sides of the fence—as a small business owner and as an employee—and knows how things work on each side. Jeff knows how to budget money because he has a large family and knows how to make sure that clients are maximizing the different avenues of savings, retirement, insurance planning, and estate planning. He uses a logical and common-sense approach to things and understands how different financial vehicles work within financial plans.
Jeff and his wife, Lisa, have nine children—three are biological and six were adopted from China. They also have three grandchildren. Jeff loves competitive crappie fishing, boating, being on the lake with family, and playing pickup basketball. He’s the director of the Western Heights Charity golf tournament, which raises money for underprivileged kids and families of Knoxville. Jeff is also a member of Rotary Club of Knoxville and the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors.
