James Ruwe

Education: Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Baylor University

James joined Modern Wealth’s Public Safety Financial division in August 2026 as a financial advisor. He aims to make financial well-being feel achievable for his clients.

After earning his degree from Baylor, James served as a financial professional under New York Life, where he earned Chairman’s Club recognition in his first year for outstanding service.* From there, he has continued to grow into a trusted name and resource in his community.

Many of James’s friends and clients got to join him and his wife at their wedding in March 2025 at the Richard Nixon Library. The “Ruwe’s” now live with their cat in Santa Ana, California. They enjoy serving their church’s high-school youth group, traveling to the East Coast, and discovering good sushi restaurants.

James’s faith is very important to him. He’s a member of Christian Business Men’s Connection and supports Samaritan’s Purse and World Vision to help provide disaster relief, clean water and deliver the gospel to those who haven’t heard it. James stays active by lifting weights and playing basketball and golf. A fun fact about James is that he and his dad, Tim Ruwe, invented an electronic first-person shooting target used with airsoft as a training tool.
