James assists with aligning learning processes and systems to support employee development across Modern Wealth Management. He arrived at Modern Wealth in February 2025 and has a wide range of experience in varying capacities and roles in the training/learning and development space. He enjoys building a learning ecosystem that helps Modern Wealth employees grow and excel in their careers.

James found his passion for people early in his career, which has focused on helping people grow and be successful in their current roles while setting the stage for career development. He has had the privilege of working in telecommunications, home services, higher education, food and agriculture consulting, FinTech and senior living and senior services.

James has a beautiful wife, three adult children, and a loving mega mutt named Whiskey. He and his wife are focused on getting as many experiences as possible and love to travel in the U.S. and internationally. James loves mastering the craft of barbecue and is an avid woodworker when he gets time to unwind. The top bucket list items he has for himself are to cage dive with Great White sharks and to see a baseball game in every stadium.

Baseball runs deep in his family. James is directly related to statistician Bill James, who is responsible for revolutionizing statistical analysis in the major professional sports leagues in the USA. James is also the descendant of an illegitimate son of Louis the XIV of France. That side of his family has a street named after them in the French Quarter in New Orleans, Louisiana.
