Colter joined the Modern Wealth team as a relationship manager in April 2026. Based out of Modern Wealth’s Lenexa, Kansas office, Colter supports advisors by meeting with clients and assisting them with financial planning items.
Colter had three years of experience in the financial services industry upon arriving at Modern Wealth. He previously served as a personal banker for CommunityAmerica Credit Union, eventually transitioning to their wealth management department (the broker-dealer known as Copper Financial). Colter assisted clients and advisors as a client service associate while earning his Series 7 and 66 licenses.
Colter grew up in Cheyenne, Wyoming along with his sister and two brothers. His dad’s side of the family is from Ottawa, Kansas, which is just 40 miles southwest of Modern Wealth’s Lenexa office. Some of Colter’s interests include hiking, hunting, golfing, cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs, and doing anything in the mountains.
