Angie Payne

Executive Assistant

Monterey, CA

Department: Internal Operations

Angie is an executive assistant based out of the Monterey, California office. She manages executive calendars, schedules meetings, coordinates appointments, and arranges travel itineraries and accommodations for executives. Angie also prepares and distributes correspondence, reports, and presentations on behalf of executives and serves as a liaison between executives and internal/external stakeholders.

Prior to joining the Modern Wealth team in October 2024, Angie worked as an executive assistant to the CFO and four other executive officers at Woodruff Sawyer, which is a financial company based in San Francisco. During Angie’s 20-plus-year career, she has also served as an executive assistant to the head of school at York School in Monterey, California, and as an office manager and customer care manager at Taylor Farms in Salinas, California.

Angie was intrigued by the possibility of joining the Modern Wealth team because of the firm’s growth and working with four dynamic executive officers who are passionate about what they do. Outside of work, Angie enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and daughter. They love playing board games, golf at The Hay in Pebble Beach, and pickleball.

Some of Angie’s other hobbies include watching movies, line dancing, live music, festivals, brunching with her friends, sunny days at the beach, and karaoke. She was, unwittingly, an extra in the movie Turner and Hooch, and got to meet Tom Hanks while shooting! Another fun fact about Angie is that she is an avid student of the Enneagram personality typing system and loves to talk all things Enneagram! She is a 1w2 One-to-One subtype for any other Enneagram geeks out there!
