Amber Zavala

Amber joined the Modern Wealth team in October 2025 to provide support to Nicole Bittner, Stephen Tuckwood, Logan DeGraeve, and Derek Bruton. She has brought over 20 years of administrative experience to the Modern Wealth team, with the last 8 of those years in the finance industry. However, the opportunity to serve in a supporting role has allowed Amber to utilize more of her areas of expertise and interest.

Amber previously worked in a small advisor office in San Diego and then spent six years at LPL Financial. She has experience in various facets of administrative work, including customer service, office management, event management, and serving as an executive assistant.

Her diverse background plays an important role in who she is, as it includes Japanese, Belizean, White, Black, Buddhist, Christian, and Mormon influences. Amber has learned to embrace differences and find connection in unexpected places, both personally and professionally.

Amber enjoys spending time with her four children, especially camping, playing soccer, and movie nights. Some of Amber’s other favorite hobbies include party planning and binge-watching TV shows. A couple of fun facts about Amber are that she can ride a unicycle and that she performed in a kids’ circus all throughout elementary school.
