This ticket includes the docent led tour of the Museum and the self-guided exhibition: Documents that Forged a Nation, featuring founding-era documents of the United States.
As the United States celebrates the 250th anniversary of its founding, visitors have the opportunity to see a curated selection of original records from the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA)’s collection on display together for the very first time, bringing historic and consequential documents fundamental to America’s founding to communities across the nation.
Documents include:
- Original Engraving of the Declaration of Independence, 1823
- Articles of Association, 1774
- George Washington’s, Alexander Hamilton’s, and Aaron Burr’s Oaths of Allegiance, 1778
- Secret Printing of the Constitution in Draft Form, 1787
- Tally of Votes Approving the Constitution, 1787
- Treaty of Paris, 1783
